OA Rail

OA Rail continuously tracks the status and location of all railcars and locomotives in railroad yards. With a graphically driven interface, OA Rail controls up to thousands of locations, allowing hundreds of concurrent users to view and update inventory. Users can view small subsets of data pertaining to their specific geographical interest or combined data from the entire system. Configurable graphical maps show data from one or more yards, allowing yard masters to quickly and easily understand and update status. OA Rail also provides a consolidated, real-time status of all tracks, trains, locomotives, and switch work orders, giving all railroad personnel a common point of reference. Users manage train arrivals, train and locomotive departures, and conduct yard transfers.

Graphical User Interface

- A menu and toolbar driven interface with real-time asynchronous screen updates, graphical track layout, locomotive and railcar icon color and flyovers to alert users to unit characteristics and changes in status

RF User Interface

- Allows users in the yard to perform inventory queries on railcars, trains, and jobs, as well as record the completion of railcar or locomotive movements in real-time, make mechanical and repair notations, and note railcar and locomotive location updates

Railcar and Locomotive Inventory and Movement Tracking

- Maintains the location of railcars and locomotives in the yard and non-yard locations, allowing users to view work order data for railcar movement and receive inventory updates for correction, shunt lists, and missing car reports, as well as place railcars separately on arrival, perform yard to yard movements of railcars via drag and drop actions, or move locomotives from one location to another

Inbound Train Processing

- Displays inbound train information, reports on train arrivals, and reports on work order completions

Inquiries

- Users can make inquiries on locomotives, railcars, and train locations

Outbound Train Processing

- Displays outbound train information and provides functionality for calling a train, departing a train, and constructing outbound trains by dragging cuts of railcars to departure tracks, allowing users to cancel and reinstate trains and revise consist and departure times if incorrect
